PARTI-cipation X Lisbon 2024
"Occupying the city" is a project that includes artistic residencies, conversations, lectures and workshops open to communities. The exhibition runs from October 10th to November 16th, with free entry.
The 10th edition of the exhibition arrives at Prata Riverside Village, curated by Ana Calçada and Gotffried Hafemann and supported by promoter Francisco Klinger Carvalho. Since it’s beginning in Germany in 2012, the project has been recognized for it’s innovation and relevance in contemporary art.
Prata Riverside Village made five of its commercial spaces available to host the exhibition, creating an environment that encourages freedom of expression.
The diversity of heritage and architecture, in harmony with the river and the city, invite reflection and awaken the senses.
Artists such as Thierry Ferreira, Graça Pereira Coutinho, Beatriz Horta Correia, Pedro Valdez Cardoso, Miguel Gaspar, Francisco Klinger Carvalho, Gabi Rets, Susana Piteira, Cornelia Rößler, Susanne Specht, among many others, participate in the exhibition.

The project is based on this philosopher’s reflection on the origin of the work of art, with the aim of creating a cultural and artistic dialogue that stimulates creation and promotes culture between artists and their countries.
