City Edges
Between nature and technology, transformation and memory, "City Edges" reveals the rhythm, tension, and poetry of urban space through digital works that invite us to look at the city with fresh eyes.
“City Edges” offers a sensitive and critical interpretation of today’s city, exploring the ways we inhabit, reconstruct, and reimagine urban space. Using video, photography, installation, and digital art, the artists translate movement and the contradictions of metropolises, between concrete and code, energy and landscape.
Artists
The exhibition brings together five international digital artists: Stijn Straetier (Belgium), Khaled Makhshoush (Saudi Arabia), Yang Yongliang (China), untitled, xyz / Kirk Finkel (USA), and the Portuguese duo Boris Chimp 504 (Miguel Neto and Rodrigo Carvalho). Each presents a distinct vision of urban life, from architecture in the metaverse to the fusion of natural landscape and technology, from recycled energy to the translation of the city’s rhythm into sound and image.
The exhibition’s curation is based on the idea that art is a mirror of cities in transformation, revealing tensions and possibilities at their edges, where encounter and digital convergence occur. Integrated into Prata Riverside Village, in the heart of Marvila, the exhibition reflects the creative dynamism of this Lisbon district, now recognized as one of the city’s main cultural hubs.
And discover the art that transforms the way we see the city.
